The Trinity College Dramatic Society is pleased to present Richard III written by William Shakespeare and directed by Ella Annis for the 2026 Shakespeare in the Quad!
Richard, Duke of Gloucester, labelled a monster since birth, chooses to become a true monster in this complex show of humanity and violence. As Richard starts his journey into villainy, he convinces others to plot with him, support him, or even love him… until the cruelty goes too far. As Richard conducts a series of murders and schemes, he achieves his goal of becoming King of England, but at what cost and for how long can it last?
Please be advised that this production contains language and themes that may be distressing, such as violence and murder, death and grief, psychological manipulation, as well as ableist language, attitudes, and actions.
